Saddle-stitched type: A4 variant size (W210mm x H210mm) For approximately 400 years, from the Edo period (1603-1868) to the present day, these items have been treasured as good luck charms and auspicious objects, bestowing blessings and protection. This calendar features a selection of dragons drawn in the Kyoto Ippitsu-ryu style, with a new dragon featured each month. Six types of prayer for good fortune, protection, and relationships are listed on either side of the drawings: "Fulfillment of Wishes / Prosperity in Business / Increased Fortune / Prayers for Health / Family Safety / Successful Relationships." Auspicious days (such as Tensha-nichi, Taian, Ichiryu-manbai-bi, Tora no Hi, Tatsunohi, Hatsuumashi, Setsubun, Doll's Day, and the Boy's Festival) are listed, and these days are represented by a design that evokes the wish-fulfilling jewel held by the dragon. Supervised and produced by Kyoto Ippitsu-ryu artist Keisuke Teshima, with printing technology (cleaning up of reproduced data) that reproduces the original paintings as closely as possible, resulting in vivid and high-definition prints. A QR code is included to view a video of the scene where the dragon's body is drawn in a single stroke.
