My son wore this from 3rd to 6th grade. When he was in 3rd grade, it was quite large, and we folded the sleeves twice. However, it covered his ankles, so he didn't get wet walking to school, which was great. The lack of elastic cuffs was a downside, but it made it easier to fold the sleeves. In the upper grades, he didn't wear a raincoat even in the rain, so he mostly used it for field trips and as rainwear when riding the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios.
