I purchased this new around 2020 and used it for about 5 years. I believe this is a great instrument, with the characteristic overtones of a red brass bell and the wide range of sound only a large bell can produce. The original price was about 1.2 million yen. Aside from some lacquer wear on the slide handle, the condition is good. I also had a repairman in Shizuoka adjust the fit and rotary valves, so there shouldn't be any of the initial defects often found in Bach instruments. Also, I regularly had it cleaned, so the inside of the tubing is kept clean! Furthermore, I've had the instrument fully tuned twice, so the sound, depth, overtone series, and controllability are better than other instruments. Accessories include only the original case (the case also has some scratches). The oil I used was YAMAHA (for the slide as well). I used Hetman only for the ball joint (because I preferred a slightly thicker viscosity). I will clean it as much as possible and pack it in a cardboard box for shipping. I'm also open to a small price reduction. This instrument can be used in both orchestras and wind bands! How about it for those who want to upgrade or for beginners and intermediate players?
