【Rare: Vintage】Uranium Glass Plant Motif Brooch Gold Color. This item was found while organizing a warehouse. It appears to be a relic from when a relative of mine was a jeweler, a long time ago. Uranium glass is glass that has a very small amount of the radioactive substance uranium mixed in as a colorant. It is characterized by its enchanting green color when exposed to black light (ultraviolet light) in a dark place. (It is completely harmless to the human body) Currently, only a small amount of uranium glass products are manufactured in the United States and the Czech Republic for collectors. Since it was hardly manufactured after the war, almost all of the items in circulation are valuable antiques/vintage items. This is a brooch made of that uranium glass. It has a design with plant and fruit motifs, with 4 cabochon-cut green frosted glass pieces on the top and 5 round-cut uranium glass pieces on the bottom. *The uranium glass is the 5 pieces on the bottom; the top pieces are not uranium glass. The base metal is gold-plated. The material is unknown as there are no markings, but it is a non-magnetic metal.
