Thank you for viewing. This item uses domestically produced Ise-Ami (Chrome Black) size 11 hooks. Sea Hunter size 8 line is used for tying the hooks. I've tried various hooks, including 3-hook, 4-hook, Chinu hooks, Hirasa hooks, and Ise-Ami hooks, but I've found that a combination of 2 or 3 Ise-Ami hooks is the best. While increasing the number of hooks tends to reduce missed bites, the nature of the fishing style, Tai Rubber, involves dropping the lure to the bottom, often near rocky areas. This environment attracts sea bream and many other fish. Therefore, using too many hooks increases the chances of snagging, which can lead to cutting the line and having to re-rig, making it difficult to continue fishing. Cutting the line = re-rigging from scratch = increased expenses + missing out on the prime fishing time. In fact, based on my experience, the fact that commercially available Tai Rubber lures often use 2 or 3 hooks is likely the result of various research conducted by manufacturers. ☆ If you wish, I can also list the skirts, ties, and lead heads I've made.
