Can also be used as a coffee pot, for tea bags, or for storing water in the refrigerator. There are scratches characteristic of stainless steel throughout, but I don't think there are any deep scratches that would cause damage. Also, there are no dents. The lid hinges are not bent and open and close smoothly.
