These were made as a dinner set for the Augarten Palace, the hunting lodge of Empress Maria Theresa. This elegant, dignified, and graceful series is based on the green of the "fir tree," a symbol of hunting. Even now, everything is hand-painted by skilled artisans. Handwork in Europe, where prices and wages are high, makes the list price of 48,000 yen per plate understandable. There are 6 different Maria Theresa patterns: Roses, Daisies, Dog Roses, Straw Flowers, Daffodils, and Violets. These are unused items stored at home. They were brought back from Vienna before the Corona pandemic. They are very beautiful items, unused as tableware. (Please forgive any slight scratches due to storage or aging. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfect item.) I bought these at a very high price even in Vienna, feeling like I was jumping off the Kiyomizu-dera stage.
