CWU-45/P Flight Jacket "Black Knights" L Delivered in 1986 by the US Air Force (DLA) This is a CWU-46/P flame-resistant flight jacket. Features a patch of the 154th Fighter Attack Squadron (nicknamed "Black Knights") on the right chest, a Velcro base on the left chest, a F-14 Tomcat pilot patch of the 154th Fighter Attack Squadron on the right shoulder, and an American flag patch on the left shoulder. Patches are sewn on. JACKET, FLYER’S, CWU-45/P There is pen writing on the tag, making some characters difficult to read. - Wind flap has zigzag stitching. The material is aromatic polyamide (aramid) = trademark: Nomex, a flame-resistant and heat-resistant fiber. The brass zipper is SCOVILL, large rectangular with a ribbon, and the sleeve pocket zippers are the same with an S-marked pull. Ribbing has pilling and fuzzing, but the sleeves appear to have no noticeable damage. Stitching is missing in some areas.
