I bought this vintage European dress. The tag says "Made in West Germany." It also has a tag that says "VeraMont," which seems to be the brand name. I was told it's from around the 1970s to 80s. The fabric is a slightly stiff, chiffon-like, thin, and smooth material. The frilled yoke, shirred sleeves, and the voluminous skirt are very cute. The pattern is a gradient block check with a slight sheen, and it's fascinating how the color changes slightly depending on the angle and the way the light hits it. It has a vibe you don't often see in recent clothing, and it's a very lovely dress. It fastens with a back zipper and comes with a matching ribbon belt. The second image is a picture of another dress from a vintage shop that has a similar shape and feel, and I think it will look like this when worn. While there shouldn't be any major issues with wear, there are a few barely noticeable scuffs or small thread pulls on the front and back of the bodice. Also, there is a repair with thread at the right shoulder seam, and the lining in the skirt is partially unraveled. It's the lining, so it's not visible from the outside. Especially in the skirt, there is a lot of fabric, so there may be other minor snags that I missed, but please understand that this is a vintage item. I only tried it on after purchasing it and have kept it in storage. It's very beautiful, but I haven't had many opportunities to wear it, so I hope someone will wear it.
