No discounts. Vintage A2 deck jacket. Unlike the typical worn-out and limp ones, this one has little wear and the fabric still has a slight crispness. The familiar outer shell is made of cotton-nylon, or what's known as "nyco," and it shows little aging, making it a piece with minimal wear. It doesn't have the usual oil stains, tears, or fraying around the collar that are common with A2 deck jackets, and the color hasn't faded much. The sleeve ribs are also in good condition, as you can see in the photos. The color of the inside of the flap pockets and the body of the jacket haven't changed much, so you can see that. However, it has been through the years, so there is some puckering and slight color variation, but it's in relatively good condition. Deck jackets were issued as official items, one per person, so most of them have oil stains, tears, and fraying, making well-preserved ones from the 80s rare. A2 deck jackets used to be available as deadstock for around 20,000 yen, but they've already surpassed 40,000 yen, and good condition used ones are in the late 30,000 yen range. Well-preserved items will become scarce, so it's wise to buy them now while you can get them at a reasonable price. Especially with the unprecedented vintage clothing boom in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea, good vintage clothing is disappearing from Japan rapidly...
