The inner lining has been removed because it doesn't breathe well and gets stuffy. It's perfectly usable, and actually more convenient without the lining (for things like washing). With the recent warm winters, cotton-linen is probably more suitable than a wool cap. It has a presence that rivals wool, so you can use it year-round. Please purchase only if you understand this.
