This sanshin was purchased in November of last year from the Uehara Shamisen store in Motobu, Okinawa Prefecture. It was handmade by the shop owner, Yoshimitsu Uehara, from the making of the neck to the skin stretching. The lacquer work was done by Mr. H. There are some minor playing marks on the surface, but I think the skin is in good condition. It feels like it has a slightly strong tension. According to Mr. Uehara, it was stretched to more than 8/10 tension.
