This is a "Hato-bue" (dove whistle) from the Tesa Ningyo dolls, which were awarded at Kagoshima Jingu Shrine some time ago. It is an earthenware whistle in the shape of a dove, the messenger of Kokubu Hachimangu Shrine. It has the older type of detailed engraving. Total length is about 9cm, width: about 4.5cm, weight 80g. There is some minor paint chipping, but it is otherwise undamaged. It has a simple, rustic charm. #Dove #DoveWhistle #EarthenwareWhistle #KagoshimaJinguShrine #KokubuHachiman #Shohachiman #LocalToy #Folkcrafts #Mingei #TesaNingyo #Mingei #Bingo-ya #NakagawaMasashichiShoten #KagoshimaSouvenir #EvilRepellent #Amulet #Omamori #ShintoRitual #Kaiyodo×NakagawaMasashichiShoten #Kaiyodo #JapanWideMameLocalToys #JapanMameLocalToys #MUJI #AwardedItem #FukuCan #GoodLuckCharm #HiroshiAramata #KunioYanagita #ShinobuMachida #FolkArt #FolkToy #PeasantArt #CasaBrutus Type: Earthenware doll Motif: Animal, Other
