This is a natural Japanese cypress (hinoki) tree stump purchased from a Hida woodworking workshop. It has cracks and dents, but I was told that this is part of the natural wood's character, and I loved the atmosphere, so I bought it. It's heavy and thick, a very stable stump. I was using it as interior decoration at home. It can be used in various ways, standing up or lying flat.
