BESSON SOVEREIGN B♭ Cornet 927 RB (Red Brass Bell) Made in England *No rust or lacquer wear ・Triggers: 1st and 3rd valves ・Accessories: Original hard case ・YAMAHA mouthpiece 9E ・Lighter than the 928, easy to play, easy to produce a sound. ・RB (Red Brass) Red brass is approximately Cu:Zn = 90:10, Gold brass is approximately 85:15. Compared to GB (Gold Brass), it has a higher copper content, resulting in a richer, mellower tone. Red brass is difficult to process, so in recent years, most bells are made of gold brass. This is a lacquer finish. It has the rich, mellow, and sweet tone of a vintage instrument. Because of the lacquer, it has a more glossy and forward sound than silver. The 927 has a slightly smaller bell than the current 928 (commonly called a "flower pot"), but it still produces a good volume thanks to the lacquer. There is no sticking on the pistons, slides, levers, or caps. There is a small dent in an inconspicuous place on the lower part of the bell (see image 6), but it is at a level that does not interfere with playing, so it has not been repaired. It would cost about 5,000 yen to have it fixed. If you are concerned, please refrain from purchasing. I was attracted to the beautiful, deep red color of the red brass unique to this era and purchased it about two years ago from a Shimam⚪︎ra musical instrument store. It's not from an auction, so it has been maintained by a reliable repairman. Suitable for British brass bands and for switching between instruments in a wind band (o^∀^o) ○Reason for selling○ I usually use a YAMAHA 8335 trumpet, so the YAMAHA 8335 cornet was a better match for me.
