These glasses are made with SPM (Sun Platinum), a rust-resistant material developed in Japan in 1930, and feature a half-rim design. The lens shape is round and classic. The engraving on the bridge and temples is beautifully finished, showcasing the high level of craftsmanship. Sun Platinum was developed in Japan around 1955. In the Fukui/Sabae region, Sun Platinum frames were manufactured as high-end eyewear frames until the late 1970s, leading the industry.
