Each piece of wood is polished, so they feel good to the touch. They are carefully painted so that the colors show even when closed. (High-quality wooden hiogi fans can be opened and closed like the ones for humans. Each piece is cut with a rounded top to create a curve when opened, so the corners are not sharp. The fasteners at the bottom are not made in China, so they do not use eyelet hardware. The decorative cords also have the same braid as the real thing.) The gold color is not paint, but gold powder dissolved and applied. There are photos that look beautiful and shiny under the room lights, but the actual product is not that shiny, so please be aware of this. High-quality decorative cords are also attached. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about the details of handmade items. Please be sure to check the height and width. This hiogi fan is approximately 8.1cm tall and is a large size. (I have taken photos on graph paper, so you can cut out a piece of paper and have your Hina doll hold it to confirm the size and avoid any mistakes.)
