The ceramic bodies are in excellent condition with no scratches, chips, or stains. I did store individually wrapped packs in the coffee canister for a while, but I hardly used it and kept it stored. I didn't use the sugar and salt canisters out in the open, but rather took them out of the drawer when needed, so I believe they were used cleanly without getting oily stains. I sprayed the lids with alcohol spray each time I refilled them, so there is a slight fading of color, but they are still in beautiful condition.
