It's a copper basin from the late Edo period, with a nice, subdued feel! Diameter: 14.5cm Height: 8.8cm From a family of tea ceremony practitioners for generations. My great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother were all tea ceremony instructors, and this is one of the items they used! I have other kensui (water basins) for sale as well!
