The M-51 is so famous, but it was only produced for a very short period, making it a phantom model. It's now scarce in the vintage market, and it's said that it's extremely difficult to obtain, with deadstock items rarely even seen in Japan. This is a shell and liner set of the original M-51 from that era. The shell and liner can be detached, and you can use them separately depending on the climate, occasion, and layering, which is one of the charms of the mod coat. The M-65, the successor model to the M-51, is very popular, but that's only because it's more readily available due to its higher production volume. In the vintage market, the M-51 is considered the true mod parka and is traded at a higher price. However, the number of these items is decreasing year by year, and even the M-65, the successor model, easily exceeds 80,000 yen in domestic circulation if it's deadstock. The 100% cotton shell is thicker than the M-65's, which is made of a mixed fabric. Furthermore, the liner is a pile liner, which was not used in the M-65. Although it's a slight difference, it's a detail that enthusiasts love. The condition has vintage-specific wear and wrinkles, and there are stains on the hem and the right front.
