This is a program where Manami Honjo guides viewers through the extremely literary charms of Kyoto, based on Naoya Shiga's "A Dark Night's Passing." It was released in 2001. I think I was a fan of Manami Honjo back then... but I don't remember. An old man's memory is truly pathetic. This DVD is, of course, no longer available new. Used copies are available on Amazon for 1900 yen, and on Surugaya for 1000 yen + shipping (effectively over 1500 yen). Of course, I'll offer it for less than that.
