A set of 7 sake cups from the Meiji era. See images 19 and 20 for noticeable damage. Otherwise, there are no significant flaws, but please be aware of age-related soiling and minor scratches. Refer to image 17 for the smallest size and image 18 for the largest. The original box has damage and insect bites. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about the imperfections often found in antique items. During the Meiji era, auspicious motifs such as cranes, pine, bamboo, plum blossoms, and aged pine trees were commonly depicted, but the Seven Sages motif is quite rare. The highest quality of maki-e lacquerware is undoubtedly from the Meiji era. These are well-made pieces.
