The leather is still stiff overall, and the good smell remains, but there are some stains on one spot on the surface and on the corners (see photos 9 and 10). As shown in photos 2 and 3, they are not very noticeable from a distance, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. There are no major damaged areas, and I think you can still use it for a long time. It's a size that can be used for a trip of about one night.
