This is a SAZABY afternoon tea plate. I think it could also be used as an ashtray, but I've never used it as one, nor as tableware. For a while, I used it to hold accessories, but after that, it's been sitting in the cupboard. I probably bought it about 20 years ago, so it might be a rare design now.
