Some YouTubers say to wet it, but this will diminish the water-repellent and insulating properties of the wool, and the hat itself will shrink! ● Wool repels water, so you don't need to wash it with detergent every time. If rinsing, use water. Press out the water, and dry it by sandwiching it between towels. ● When washing, submerge it in lukewarm water with dissolved soap and gently press to wash, avoiding running water from the faucet. Do not twist to wring it out; instead, press out the water, sandwich it between towels to remove moisture, and stretch it out thoroughly before air-drying in the shade. Hanging it in a laundry net will prevent clothespin marks. ● Rubbing the felt surfaces together will cause pilling and fuzzing. When washing the surface, moisten it with soapy water and gently press with your fingers. ● Avoid using washing machines, dryers, or hair dryers.
