The coating is UV resin. 6g x 1 9g x 3 I use these myself, and they don't tangle as much as longer types, and they fly well. I've had good fishing results with them. Since they are handmade, there may be small scratches. They allow you to feel the bite of a Japanese whiting (kiss) when using a short cast.
