Regal saddle oxford 2462, color brown/white, with a brown sole. Purchased in the 80s or 90s, they haven't been worn much and have been stored in a shoe cabinet. The soles show very little wear, and the only visible damage is some minor scuffing on the toes. However, there are other areas of damage, so please check the following: ・The leather around the opening is slightly scuffed. (Photos 11/12) ・The insole is slightly lifting (the edges are peeling up). (Photo 6, though it's barely noticeable) It's still attached and won't come off. The following two repairs were done about three years ago when I was organizing my shoe cabinet: ・The leather on the tongue had deteriorated and torn, so I reinforced it by attaching thin leather to the back. (See the arrow in Photo 9; the reinforcement on the back is in Photo 10) ・The heel part of the sole was slightly lifting and could be easily peeled off by hand, so (after some hesitation) I peeled off both soles and re-glued them with adhesive. (Photos 13/14) I used sole-specific adhesive, so it shouldn't come off anytime soon, but if you're concerned, please have them repaired at a shoe repair shop. Model Number: 2462 Color: Brown/White Production Country: Not specified, but I believe it's Japan since it's from that era. Size: 23.5cm *Regal shoes tend to run large. *Outsole: Length 25.5cm, Width (widest) 8.8cm The leather of saddle shoes is stiff, and once broken in, it molds to the wearer's foot shape, making it difficult for others to wear them. However, since these haven't been worn much, that shouldn't be a problem. However, the leather has definitely hardened over time compared to when it was new, so please try your best to break them in. #zero_shoes
