This is a five-inch plate with a phoenix design purchased from an antique art dealer. I liked the elaborate design and brought it home with me. The highlight is the phoenix in the center. The twisted petals draw your eyes to the center. The phoenix is drawn very carefully. The cloud arabesque pattern creates a fantastic atmosphere. The border pattern is arabesque with circles. Because of the lines and circles, it also looks like a "yoraku" pattern (a type of Buddhist decorative element). This is also carefully drawn to match the edge. Flowers are drawn on the body. The growth of small buds to blooming flowers is depicted. It's stylish. There is a mark on the bottom of the foot. It is said to be from around the Meiji era. There are no noticeable large scratches. There are only slight scuffs. Other than that, it seems to be kiln marks. There are stains. It may be dirt, but it didn't come off with a light wash. Please take a good look at the images.
