Thank you for viewing. This is a BOSS power supply & master switch PSM-5. Made in Japan, it appears to be from 1987. Loop switcher, Line selector, Junction box…etc. It's a modest piece of equipment, but it can be used in various ways depending on your ideas. It's a convenient unit to have. Also, it's an excellent buffer pedal and is being re-evaluated. (Most BOSS pedals use a transistor buffer, while this unit uses an op-amp buffer. Op-amp buffers are considered better than transistor buffers.) I have modified it, referencing the circuits of Pete Cornish products. The electrolytic capacitors in the power supply section have been replaced with Tohshin UTWRZ, other electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with audio-grade ones, WIMA film capacitors were used for the modification, the op-amp was replaced from NJM4558DD to TL072, and the rectifier diodes were replaced with 1N4007. Pete Cornish's buffer uses transistors, but I built that circuit separately and compared the sound. I believe I was able to tune it to roughly the same sound. In addition, I have added bypass capacitors to the power supply section to prevent noise. Furthermore, the parts where the sound passes through, in other words, the circuits other than the power supply, ground, and switch-related circuits, are point-to-point wired. The power supply supports up to 25V by increasing the withstand voltage of the electrolytic capacitors. Other modifications: ○ The pedal guide push rubber has been replaced with a new one. ○ The screws (thumb screws) have been changed to a silver screw style. The solder used for the changed parts: KR-19RMA from Nihon Almit was used for the power supply section, and KESTER44 was used for the rest. The removed op-amp is a glossy JRC4558DD. (It may be difficult to see in the photos...) I will include it. Operation has been confirmed with an adapter. Body only. Thank you. Color: Red
