There are some marks on the outer stainless steel part, but otherwise, I checked it for the listing and there were no noticeable scratches or stains. You can disassemble the parts and wash them. If the mesh filter doesn't go down when pressed, remove it from the pot. Then, slowly and gently press it down vertically again. Do not force it down or sideways. This may cause the glass to break.
