This item is a Japanese musical instrument, the "Jinashi Nobekan Shakuhachi." It was purchased from a recycle shop. It is a Tozan-ryu shakuhachi, approximately 65cm long. While the two-piece (nakatsugi) type is mainstream nowadays, this is a very rare "Nobekan (one-piece construction)" without a joint. Because there are no joints, you can enjoy the beautiful lines and feel of the bamboo itself. A long shakuhachi of the Tozan-ryu style, and especially a one-piece construction, is a rare specification that is not often seen on the market.
