Squier by Fender Classic Vibe Telecaster 50s HS This is a listing for a Squier by Fender Classic Vibe Telecaster. Based on the serial number, it was manufactured in China in 2012 and has a pine body. (Current models are made in Indonesia and use nato wood.) The pine body is believed to produce a sharper sound, similar to ash, compared to alder. The frets have approximately 70% life remaining, the truss rod is in good condition, and there are no issues with sound production. It has a matte finish (it was like this from the time of purchase). There are many scratches that do not affect playability. Only the front pickup has been replaced with a no-brand pickup, but the original pickup is also included. The balance is better with the current pickup, so it will be shipped as is. (I tried various pickups for the front, such as Burstbuckers, but they would phase out with the original rear pickup, which has a sharp sound. As a result of various tests, the no-brand pickup provided the best balance.) Please understand that the feel and condition may vary depending on the individual. It will be packed with bubble wrap and cardboard to prevent damage during shipping. This is a guitar that sounds quite good, but I am reluctantly selling it to secure funds to purchase a Gibson.
