This item was purchased at a Tibetan Buddhist supply shop in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. "Lungta" refers to the image of a horse (wind horse) often printed on Buddhist prayer flags. The square, thin paper itself, like this item, with the wind horse image printed on it is also called Lungta. In Tibet, they are scattered while shouting "La Gyalo (Glory to the gods)" at stupas, mountain passes, sacred places, and festivals.
