We do not fire in electric, gas, or kerosene kilns. Once a year, for about two weeks, we keep the fire going continuously and slowly bake the pottery in the kiln. Ten days later, we take it out of the kiln, lightly polish it, wash it by hand, and inspect it for water leaks before shipping.
