I deconstructed a Meisen kimono and made a long skirt. The original kimono was more valuable than usual, so I've listed it at a higher price. The original kimono was in very good condition. (Photos 11, 12, 13) Meisen may fade when washed with water, so I only disinfected it with a high-temperature iron. The base is a vibrant red with square patterns. The unique white and black patterns are eye-catching. It's a pop and energetic color scheme. The fabric has a moderate luster and the characteristic firmness of Meisen is lovely. I've added three long tucks in the front and back to reduce the volume. Although there's plenty of gathering, the tucks make the waist and hips look neat. I enjoy sewing clothes with straight stitches. I use old kimonos, such as Tsumugi, Meisen, and Komon, as well as obi and furoshiki, for remakes. Please consider this if you understand that there may be remaining threads, small holes, stains from used items, distortions, double stitching, etc. ✳︎Please avoid washing as much as possible, and after wearing, hang it on a hanger to let it breathe. ✳︎Everything except the skirt is for photography purposes. ✳︎There is no lining. Please use a petticoat when wearing. Material: Likely silk Size Skirt length: Approximately 80cm Waist: Elastic with a width of 2cm is inserted, assuming a free size.
