The flat needles with the thread eye are handmade embroidery needles by craftsmen, and they cost over 2,000 yen each 20 years ago. Apparently, there are no longer any needle-making craftsmen, so they were expensive. She also learned Japanese bead embroidery, so there are also very fine needles.
