About Gabbeh: Gabbeh is a hand-woven carpet made by the Qashqai nomads who live in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using naturally dyed wool with long pile. The thickness ranges from about 15mm to over 25mm. It is also characterized by its substantial weight. Gabbeh, born from a climate with drastic temperature differences between day and night, keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer, making it suitable for year-round use. It is characterized by its patterns, often featuring one-point designs of people and animals. They may not be symmetrical, or the patterns may be slightly off, and the rough weave gives it a rustic charm. Although inexpensive imitations from other countries are available, the quality of the wool in genuine Gabbeh is different. The wool, called Persian Variant, is very soft and has excellent quality and durability. This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and because it takes more time to weave, it is a Reeza Baft Gabbeh, which is thinner and more tightly woven than regular Gabbeh.
