Created an Omi-fu (vest) and drawstring bag for a child from a genuine silk total shibori haori (outer garment).
The shibori has distinct, raised peaks.
The delicate pale pink base color is beautifully accented by vibrant orange and green.
Red was chosen for the Omi-fu decoration and drawstring cord to create a striking contrast.
It pairs perfectly with red kimono.

I started making my own Shichi-Go-San kimonos, focusing on total shibori and antique pieces, seeking out unique items not readily available in the market.
