Wan Qixing Profile: Born in Wuxi, a city northwest of Shanghai, in 1938. He began learning to make erhu at a musical instrument store in Suzhou at the age of 15. He then started his career as an erhu craftsman at a national musical instrument factory in Suzhou. In 1990, he became independent and established his own erhu workshop, "Guyue Qin Fang." He has researched the erhu for many years, and the quality born from his knowledge and experience in erhu making is loved by professional musicians, earning him recognition as the best craftsman throughout China.
