This was a gift from an acquaintance from Bali, Indonesia. It is a high-quality fabric with a luxurious feel, said to be a traditional woven textile. It features a colorful border pattern with a beautiful design woven in elegant, shiny silver threads. The pattern differs on the front and back, and it can be used reversibly. I had the short edges machine-sewn by a local tailor to make it usable as a sarong (waist cloth), but there is a slight distortion. (Please refer to the images.) The long edges are selvedges, but there are a few places where the thread treatment is rough from the beginning. (Please refer to the images.) I wore it once for a short time during a traditional Balinese festival, then home-cleaned and stored it.
