This is a fairly thick tweed skirt. The fabric is somewhat stiff and sturdy, so it should be quite warm in the winter. The weight is approximately 420 grams on an analog scale. This is a one-of-a-kind item, sewn by a relative who worked in dressmaking using an industrial sewing machine in the Showa era. It has a retro-style, stylish hook-and-eye closure (see photo 6).
