○ Laugh at this hopeless world Ichiro Fukuzawa Exhibition 2019, The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo Size: Approximately 31cm (height) x 24.5cm (width) x 2cm (thickness) A painter who led the Japanese Western-style painting world from the pre-war to post-war periods. Before the war, he introduced French Surrealism to Japan and became a leader of the avant-garde art movement, symbolically expressing messages of social criticism. This exhibition focuses on how he, as a painter, confronted society throughout his life. From this perspective, approximately 100 works are introduced, including his early works that incorporate satire within their mysterious canvases, and a series of works that attempt social criticism by borrowing images of hell from both East and West. There are slight scratches on the front and back covers, slight stains on the top edge, and slight dents on the bottom edge, but it is a very clean catalog, almost unused.
