It might look a bit whitish depending on the light, but it's jet black. It's fluffy and feels great, so I loved it, but I'm selling it because I got rid of my kotatsu. I didn't use it very often, so I think it's in good condition. It's very large, so there might be some slight size variations. I think it can be used as a kotatsu futon or as a blanket.
