Wajima-nuri (Wajima lacquerware) by Kiyoto Ozaki, Kijiro (transparent lacquer) Yoshino design, Nimono-wan (simmered dish bowls), set of 5. Used, good condition. Natural wood, Urushi (lacquer) finish (see image 14). These Nimono-wan feature a Kijiro finish that highlights the wood grain, with a Yoshino design, giving them a tasteful appearance. They are suitable for Zoni-wan (New Year's soup bowls) in a typical household. The artist's signature "Kiyoto" is on the underside of the bowls (see image 8). Because they are stacked vertically in the box, some have stacking scratches. There is no other damage.
