This is battery-operated and currently has three size-D batteries installed, which will be included. There are no noticeable scratches. There is some soiling on the bottom of the food bowl and the rotating blades. There is also some rust-like staining as shown in photo 5, which cannot be removed by cleaning. I was using this until the middle of this month. There were no problems. The instruction manual is also included. Please note that this is a used item, so no claims or returns are accepted. The size-D batteries are new!
