A 7-inch record featuring Japanese covers by SAUCY LADY, the songstress of the HONEY SAUCE BAND, who are based in Boston and whose recently released EP "BOY TOY" has become a hit in Japan! SAUCY LADY, a disco diva from Kanagawa, Japan, who is active in the US, transforms Misora Hibari's 1967 release, a unique work that was influenced by Group Sounds and is one of the best songs in Japanese popular music history, into a sweet synth boogie. The flip side features a cover of Tatsuro Yamashita's "Amaku Kiken na Kaori" (Sweet and Dangerous Scent), his 9th single released in 1982 and used as the theme song for the TBS drama of the same name. This cover stays close to the original's flavor, with a mellow funk arrangement that is also superb!! The production is handled by YUKI KANESAKA, a musician and close friend known as MONOLOG, who also participated in the recent HONEY SAUCE BAND project!
