Iga-yaki flower vase of unknown era and maker, with a matching box. Size: Height: 23.5 cm Maximum outer diameter of the mouth rim: 12.0 cm Maximum outer diameter of the base: 12.4 cm (Please allow for some error as this is amateur measurement.) The vessel was acquired separately, and a four-sided box was custom-made for it. There are no signatures, and the era and maker are unknown. I had a ceramic artist specializing in Iga-yaki and Shigaraki-yaki examine it. - It has the kiln transformation unique to Iga, and it is Iga-yaki fired in an anagama kiln. - The thin green glass (6th photo) on the side may have been made by applying pine ash and firing it, but otherwise, it is natural glaze.
