These are New Balance sneakers. They have Velcro closures on both sides, allowing the shoe to open wide, which was perfect for practicing putting shoes on and taking them off. My son wore them for about six months, so there is some wear and tear, including pilling, wear on the heels, and some discoloration on the rubber parts.
