This is an old children's fabric that my grandmother bought about 30 years ago to make a kimono for an Ichimatsu doll. It seems that the kimono was actually worn, then unpicked and sold as vintage fabric in a shop. She was always looking for fabric because the pattern had to be small to work for the doll. Some parts have been unpicked and sewn back together, but most of it is without seams. The faded appearance over time also feels romantic, and it is a rare item as a good old thing.
