It features a base made of MDF (medium-density fiberboard), a wood fiber material with moderate weight and hardness, and a 6mm-thick NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber) playing surface known for its durability and abrasion resistance. This combination provides a moderate rebound, making it easy to control and preventing fatigue from excessive force. It's ideal for long practice sessions. Furthermore, the feel of the stick hitting the pad is very close to that of a snare drum, allowing you to translate the feel developed during practice directly to a real drum. The back is made of a non-slip material, so you can practice on a desk or the head of a snare drum. It can also be set up on a separately sold stand, allowing you to practice anywhere.
